The Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Mexico is a non-profit organization whose mission is to grant the fondest wish of a child who has reached the age of 2-1/2 and is under 18 who has a life-threatening or life changing illness.  We are a local organization granting the wishes in this area; our main office is in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  In 2010 we granted four wishes at approximately $8900 per wish to children in Curry, Roosevelt, and De Baca Counties.  The number of wishes expected this year is unknown, but on the average we grant 2 to as many as 7 wishes a year.

We would like to take this holiday season to thank anyone who donated their time, money, talent, well wishes and prayers to the Make-A-Wish families in 2011!  Thanks to all your combined efforts we were able to fund 3 wishes in the Curry, Roosevelt, and DeBaca counties that we serve.

Upcoming events for 2012 will be a new bullriding event fundraiser, "SPUR A WISH".  In February we will have the largest wish in this area we have ever granted!  It's a Quinceanera for a young lady in Portales.
